How to replace earring Hooks with Sterling Silver hooks

Image
I love buying all kinds of fashion earrings the only problem I have is that my ears are very sensitive and I get an allergic reaction to certain types of metals. So I have created this video to show How To switch out the earring hooks! I love looking for vintage earrings at flea markets and garage sales so for sanitary purposes I switch out the earring hooks. Do not think you have to by pass those cute vintage earrings all because you have no idea where that earring hook has been. Switch it out and you have your self a clean pair of earrings! I hope you enjoy this and have a great day! Happy Creating! (Project 9 out of 150)

The Dresser is Finished!

Image
I am so excited I finished painting the dresser!  My daughter and I picked out two colors Ballerina Gown and Palace Rose both really complimented each other! I chose the brand BEHR because they have a specialty line that includes the primer and paint in one can which means I can have my finish product sooner!  Since this dresser was purchased by mom in the late 70's I really did not want to sand it down this is why I decided to go with paint that has a 2 in 1. For the dresser overall I chose to go with the lighter color which is the Ballerina Gown in semi-gloss. The details on the dresser I chose the darker pink which is Palace Rose semi-gloss. I used a 2'' size of paint brush and a very thin brush for the detail. This was a fun project!  Happy Creating!

Dresser

Image
I have been rearranging my daughter's room and decided to turn an old dresser, that my mother bought me when I was a baby, into a new and improved dresser! I went with my daughter to Home Depot and chose two colors that will make the dresser look a bit more modern, but still keep that vintage Victorian look! She loves Hello Kitty and the Disney Princesses so we chose pink hues! Here is a before picture of the dresser then I will post up the after picture in a few days! Happy Creating! Turn an old frame into a working board or a picture display

I have had this frame for a while. I found it for a $1.00 at a garage sale and new instantly that I would make something out of it just did not know what at the time. Months later I came to a conclusion to make a decorative board where I can place my project ideas and keep myself organized! I have added a second video that shows the end result. Happy Creating!
